While you might still have a few good trail rides left in the season, you’ll probably need to start thinking about closing up shop soon, and getting your Kawasaki® ATV ready for storage in the winter. Now might also be the right time to reflect on how this season went and if there are ways you could have improved your off-road experience. While the standard features of a Kawasaki ATV can give you a great experience, there are many other ways you could improve your ride through the right customizations and upgrades.

That’s why Big St. Charles Motorsports has provided the top add-on features for these quads. If you see something you like, contact our service department about how you can get your favorite option installed before the next riding season! You’ll find us in St. Charles, Missouri, serving St. Louis and St. Peters.

1. Stylizing Paint & Decals

Sometimes, it’s all about the look. This can be especially true if you’re more of a recreational rider. The look matters when you’re trying to have a good time. It’s hard to feel confident behind the handlebars when you don’t love the way your Kawasaki ATV looks.

This is where upgrading the paint and the decals can come in handy. This can make the four-wheeler more unique and better suited to your style. Or, you can choose aesthetic features that serve a more practical purpose, like camo paint for hunting.

2. Switching to LED Lights

If your Kawasaki ATV doesn’t already have LED lights, consider upgrading them. Not only are LEDs more efficient, they’re brighter. You’ll have to pay a little more, but when you’re trying to find your way back to your truck in the dark, you’ll be grateful for the enhanced visibility. Plus, you won’t have to replace them as quickly as you would incandescent or halogen bulbs.

3. Adding a Windshield

You may not always think of a windshield as an optimal ATV feature, but trust us when we say that they’re worth the extra buck, especially if you’ve got a lot of debris coming at you when you ride. Windshields can provide more protection from mud, dirt, and even bugs. They can also deflect some of the headwind you generate when you really get moving at top speeds, which means you won’t have to fight to stay upright as hard.

4. Improving Your Tires to Fit Your Needs

Upgrading your tires will be about more than just what looks good. The standard Kawasaki four-wheeler comes with tires built to excel on semi-compact dirt. It’s what makes them good all-purpose tires, but there are other tires that excel on more specific terrain. If you know you’ll be spending most of your time riding on a different kind of material, like sand, snow, or mud, you’ll definitely want to consider changing out your wheels.

5. More Comfortable Seating

If you know you’ll be spending more time on your Kawasaki ATV than the average rider, either because you’re more of an all-day enthusiast or you’ve got a lot of work to do around your business or property, then you might want to look into upgrading your seat to be more comfortable. Getting a custom seat, cover, or backrest can not only make the ride more comfortable in the moment, but also improve your overall health in the long run. If you have a passenger seat, then don’t forget to upgrade that as well!

6. Additional Storage

Odds are, your Kawasaki quad came with some storage solutions. Even so, you might find it’s not enough. If you continuously run out of room in the cargo box you have, consider switching it out for something bigger or adding an additional cargo box to your ride.

These are just a few of the ways you can customize your Kawasaki ATV, but there are plenty of other ways. The point is to create the perfect experience for you, so if you’re ready to start upgrading, or if you still need help figuring out what you need, contact Big St. Charles Motorsports. We’ll connect you with one of our expert associates so we can help you improve your quad as soon as possible! We’re happy to help all those from  St. Charles, St. Louis, and St. Peters, Missouri.
