Leave Yourself Enough Daylight

Throughout your hunting adventure, it’s important to keep track of how much daylight you have left. Leave enough light to get back your vehicle or to camp so you’re not traveling in the dark. It might also be a good idea to add some lights to your UTV, just in case you do find yourself out after dark.

Follow Best Safety Practices

Just as you would while riding the trails, you’ll want to exercise safety at all times when you’re on your UTV. Wear a helmet and proper riding clothes that keep you covered from head to toe. Never operate your UTV under the influence of drugs or alcohol. Slow down when it’s smart to do so, such as when you are exploring a new trail or there are poor weather conditions.

Hunt With Care

Of course, you’ll also need to take certain precautions when hunting, especially since weapons are present. Give other hunters plenty of space and never fire your weapon near buildings or roads (there are laws that detail exactly how far from a populated area you need to be to hunt). You should also unload and case your weapon before loading it onto the UTV.
